Doppler Testing

Carotid Artery Doppler Ultrasound

This test uses an ultrasound to assess the blood flow in the arteries of the neck and can evaluate for any narrowing or hardening of these arteries (Atherosclerosis).

Venous and Arterial Doppler Ultrasound

This test uses an ultrasound to assess the direction of blood flow in blood vessels. It can also detect any abnormal blood flow that may indicate a blockage caused by blood clots, inflammation or plaque (fatty deposit) formation.

Venous ultrasound helps to diagnose venous insufficiency (reflux) and can also detect any blood clots in the veins.

Arterial ultrasound helps diagnose narrowing or hardening (atherosclerosis) of the arteries that may compromise blood flow to your legs and feet.
